In reading this commentary on Rubio’s performance at the Munich Security Conference from the Bulwark, I wasn’t sure whose speech was being referenced since it didn’t seem to be Marco Rubio. Rubio repeated the same trash in Europe from Trump and Vance if in a more refined manner. But Rubio was just as racist, just as white supremacist and just as supportive of the White Nationalist International that Putin has been sponsoring for quite some time.

The above article is from 2016. It received scant attention but should have been quite alarming with Brexit among its first victories. Support of Trump’s candidacy was another major victory for Putin’s White Nationalist International.

Britain’s vote to leave the European Union in June (Brexit) is (was) just the beginning, if some in the Kremlin have their way.

Rubio also appeared confused about, and attempted to revise, his American ‘origin story’ and his own family’s history.

Rubio even ignored his own family’s arrival in the U.S. from Cuba in 1956, rooting his own heritage not in the modern migration from Latin America to the U.S. that the administration is criminalizing, but in eighteenth-century Spain.

Rubio continued the horrific, vile and wildly incorrect emphasis on ‘civilizational erasure’ which is deeply racist, anti-immigrant incitement driven by historical christian revisionism. In doing so, Rubio framed the notion of the Great Replacement Theory which is violently antisemitic and anti-immigrant. But the Bulwark inexplicably wrote

At least one top Trump administration official isn’t anxious to see the U.S.-led international order crumble overnight

I’m not altogether clear how the author came to this conclusion since although

Secretary of State Marco Rubio was less confrontational than Vance was last year, the message was the same. He attacked all three of the pillars on which the U.S. has previously stood in foreign affairs. Global trade has ruined the U.S. economy, he said, while international institutions have undermined sovereignty, and “a climate cult” has imposed energy policies that are “impoverishing our people.”

He focused, though, on “mass migration,” which he claimed “threatens the cohesion of our societies, the continuity of our culture, and the future of our people.” He called for Europe to join with the U.S. in rejecting the tenets of the post–World War II vision, claiming that “[w]e are part of one civilization—Western civilization. We are bound to one another by the deepest bonds that nations could share, forged by centuries of shared history, Christian faith, culture, heritage, language, ancestry, and the sacrifices our forefathers made together for the common civilization to which we have fallen heir.”

Rubio’s fantasist version of American History was white (protestant) European without a mention of Native Americans who had already been on the continent for tens of thousands of years or the large populations of Mexican and Spaniards who lived in the American West long before it became part of the US in 1848 following James Polk’s imperialist war on Mexico.

Rubio’s heavily revised version of America also and notably cancelled out enslaved Black Americans who were forcibly brought to American shores starting in the early 17th century living in and then helping to build all 13 original colonies. By the time of the Revolutionary War, in fact, the Virginia colony’s population of Black slaves was at about 40% while in South Carolina, Black slaves represented about 60% of the total population

And it is ALL American History regardless of the Trump Administration’s white supremacist revisionist driven denialism and attempts to ‘change’ History by removing and/or rewriting information.

Early Black Americans made unique and full contributions to building and the strength of these United States. Indigenous peoples directly helped early white colonialists to survive and thrive in their new surroundings. Native Americans were then thanked with a multi century - and still ongoing - genocide by those same white Europeans who may not have initially survived otherwise

But Rubio missed all of this extensive and honest American History for the Christian Revisionist History version being pushed by Trump and Project 2025.

Project 2025 is a white supremacist christian nationalist document. Just as early white European Americans pushed a genocidal slaughter of Native Americans which continues to today, if in a less overt fashion, Project 2025 is modern hard Right economic eugenics highlighted internationally in the elimination of USAID while equally focused on the United States.

Consider how the toilet seat cocaine sniffing RFK Jr. is doing his best to regress Public Health at least 150 years when children regularly died from such now preventable diseases as measles and polio.

Actions being pushed by RFK Jr. and his team of pseudoscientific vaccine denialists will serve to surge death from measles and other fully preventable childhood disease with his eye now on screwing with the polio vaccination. I wonder how many Americans have memory of hospital rooms full of iron lungs helping child polio victims breathe to stay alive. And as such changes always do, it will - not coincidentally - hit hardest among Black and Brown people along with so many others without the resources to seek out such care on their own.

The toilet seat cocaine sniffing RFK Jr is also severely compromising development of vaccinations to include that for flu and the bird flu - which could be our next epidemic. Most folks may not realize that flu causes hospitalization and many deaths every year which has (had) been hugely reduced by broad access to flu vaccination. But the toilet seat cocaine sniffing RFK Jr wants to compromise that as well

“Well, that may be, and maybe that’s a better thing,” Kennedy responded.

Rubio’s speech also aligned with the ludicrous construct of ‘white culture’ - which presses civilizational erasure - a delusion only by the most violent racists and white supremacists in the US and the Trump Administration. Skin color only represents levels of the pigment melanin and is not remotely connected to any kind of unique culture or level of competence . Those who push ‘white culture’ prioritize staunchly Christian nationalist European Protestants in America thereby eliminating huge numbers of US and global citizens who are also Caucasian. I long ago stopped checking off the box for ‘race’ on any kind of application or form since it is a false category driven purely by racial politics.

It is worth noting that the confusion and misrepresentation over the origins of ‘white culture’ are also pushed, if differently, by self identified Democrats to include Joe Klein.

White...Culture?

The boring “white culture” ceremonies do not capture the true American dynamic; Lee Greenwood could not begin to imagine it.. Nor does the strait-jacketed identity-driven intellectual poverty of the left have a clue. In fact, the political correctness—and identity politics—of the Democrats has been the most destructive assault on the idea of America since segregation. These folks simply do not understand the country they live in.

I agree with Klein that ‘white culture’ does not represent an authentic America. But while Trump’s White House has supercharged it, white culture will not ‘wither’ when Trump, by either medical need or term limits, leaves the scene. It certainly is not the fault of Democrats even if they have and continue to make more than enough of their own unforced errors. And I do not think Lee Greenwood is a Democrat

Trump’s all-out attack on DEI ranging from arbitrarily dismissing senior Black and women military officers to demanding private business and higher education end any focus on minority hires is not due to Democrats ‘destructive assault on the idea of America.’ While I don’t disagree that the ill-conceived and wrongly pursued ‘anti-racist’ movement has now been conflated with the ‘white culture’ movement, it is more peripheral and an excuse rather than any kind of primary causal factor. Democrats need to push back more and much harder

Instead, a primary factor is trying to deny the historical reality that America was constructed from violent and brutal White Supremacism. And it is exactly America’s 400+ year history of White Supremacism that is being protected against an unstoppable demographic shift in modern America. This, despite the reality that Latino, Native and Black Americans were the majority across the Americas but have long been brutally suppressed by those same white European protestant cultures. It is those espousing ‘white culture’ who ‘do not understand the country they live in.’

Rubio’s shameful performance at the Munich Security Conference, framed as always by Project 2025, encapsulates all that is now deadly wrong with the GOP, the Republican Congress and White House. I believe American Democracy will survive but only after extensive damage and confusion which could take at least a generation to fully correct. But we will recover what is America and America’s true strength; that is, we are a nation of immigrants whose multi-cultural history is our power framed by our uniquely secular Constitution.

It is imperative that we confront and directly call out Trump and his ass kissing toadies who push Project 2025 and violence while protecting Trump from the Epstein Files. Trump is a weak, fragile draft dodging coward who, time and time again, backs off when faced with concerted organized opposition and push back
